Pull Out The Beers For Rhythm & Brews
Rhythm & Brews in Mount Holly, NJ
It was a special night over at Spellbound Brewery as Rhythm & Brews was back for the second time of the year. Presented by G-Willikerz and his crew, they put together this event to help local talent get seen by the community. Hosted by Wash This Podcast, Scoop, Truth, and Sole were in the building, and they were ready for the crowd. The seats were all taken, as the crowd knew tonight was going to be special. There were a lot of New Jersey artists on the bill, and we even got to see some Willingboro natives hit the stage. While there may only be 6 performers, the selection was handpicked, and every performer gave their own energy to the crowd. We heard a variety of flows from this night, ranging from conscience rap to straight bars. It was a good night to be a fan of hip hop; even during the middle of the show, the host of the night made sure the entertainment was tight with a hip hop trivia game that ended with some giveaways.
The start of the night was a heavy one, with the first performer being a Willingboro native, Pik Da Geek. His name being very unique just like his music. It was his first solo performance, and he wanted to give the crowd a treat. He gave the crowd all exclusive music for the night to see how the crowd would like it. Every time he sang, another person would get up and dance with him. This led him to do an a cappella live on stage, and the crowd erupted at the end. His performance was so good that the crowd made him do an extra song. Another artist who caught our eye was Ninetty from PS; he gave us straight bars all night. He even had the crowd chanting along with him. In every bar he spit to the crowd, his energy drew the room together. He also had two features: King Slim and DreArtist. He also previewed his newest single, which is coming out in March and is called "Dog Walk," which the crowd loved.
The night didn’t slow down as the host of the night had some things to give out to the crowd, Sole from Vintage Extinction was in the building helping host, and she gave away some exclusive merchandise to the crowd, one of which was a collaboration tee she did with Changed. Everyone in the audience enjoyed the hip-hop trivia, except Scoop, who knows far too much about hip-hop and knew all of the answers. Moving onto the second half of the show, there was still more dope New Jersey talent coming our way. Another artist that stood out to us was ER Black. His positive message in his music pulls you in as he also talks about deep topics in America. Dedicating one song to the passing of George Floyd, you could feel the energy in the room, and people could feel his passion in his music. The closer of the night, Straight Venom, is someone to keep an eye out for. While he parties like a rock star, his music is very relatable. He makes music most people in the room could relate to, and we can tell why they saved him to close out the show. His bars in the music were very mature and had a message. It was a perfect way to end out the show.
Overall, the show was amazing for everyone who came. We got to see G Willikerz give us a special farewell set that the people really enjoyed. He then thanks the audience for coming, saying that this was all a dream for him, and that seeing the lives he's changed along the way in his hometown is special. It was good to see the New Jersey natives supporting each other, both the ones who are new and the ones who are already in the game. It was a good night to be from New Jersey.

It Was A Psychedelic Rave At Neon Jungle This Week
This Week At Neon Jungle Was A Good One
Neon Jungle has been known as the go-to for basement parties on Saturdays. This week we were able to see something different, aside from rock music. This week was for the psychedelic lovers, and they got their show plus more. This week's lineup consisted of The Jette Planes, Wallace, Tonight, Riko and Whaler Collective, and Liquid Pennies. It was a very special show tonight as it wasn’t what the crowd was used to; this week we changed things up and the crowd enjoyed it from the rip. People sang, they laughed, and they bought vinyl and cassette tapes all night. It was a special night because you could feel how much everyone enjoyed being around each other. The music of the night definitely helped that feeling, as all of the bands exploded in their own way and made the night historic. It was a good night to be at Neon Jungle as the headliner was on tour and came all the way from Tampa Bay, Florida. This was going to be a night like no other.
The best way to start the night is to start with the Philly band, The Jette Planes, who are a young band going far. They had the crowd locked in, and while they were performing, everyone was watching. Nobody was upstairs during the performance, but every lady in the building was loving the performance, as you can hear them singing along to the songs the band played. They give you an amazing vibe when they play; their music sounds timeless, and you could hear their guitarist from the back of the room as the cords just hit your ears. They also gave the Neon Jungle crowd a treat for all the support and performed some unreleased music that should be released soon. The crowd was not disappointed with the music that they heard. Following behind them was Wallace, Tonight, who is fantastic, to say the least. With a band of 5 members, they each excel in their own way, giving you an amazing performance. Their lead singer did an amazing job leading the way for the band. The crowd was seen rocking their heads back and forth as they were locked into the performance they were giving. They gave you that real rockstar feel, as on their last song you could hear the people downstairs chanting loudly. They set the energy for the rest of the night.
The energy didn’t just stop there. What appeared to be a moshpit-free night quickly turned around when Riko and Whaler Collective took the stage. This band opened up the mosh pit for the night, giving the crowd such high energy during their performance. You could see people getting pumped up, as one person was seen hanging from the ceiling. As the person started hanging, the guitar player in the band decided to join him. It was so dope to see the energy start to pick up once they hit the stage. At one point, the band said, "Make sure you're having fun and being safe, guys." It was an amazing thing to see just how much energy can be filled in a room just by music. The crowd really enjoyed Riko and Whaler Collective, as when the last song came around, everyone was off their feet.
To end the night right, we had a special guest in the house. Liquid Pennies, a band from Tampa Bay, Florida, is currently on tour, with Neon Jungle being one of their stops. Their sound is what made them stick out so much, as it was very clear. You could hear their instruments playing all the way upstairs. They carried on the energy of the night, ready to end this amazing night for the Neon Jungle fans. Throughout the performance, people were actively on their feet. They really gave you that rockstar feel, you could feel the energy in the crowd build up as the members checked up on each other to make sure they were good, and everyone was all smiles. Liquid Pennies performed songs off of the cassette tapes they had for sale, which caused a line upstairs with people ready to buy 2-3 at a time. Philly gave them a lot of love for their first time out here, and you can tell they really enjoyed themselves and picked up a whole array of fans ready for them to come back. It was one of the greatest nights in Neon Jungle history and set the trend for what’s to come in the near future.

Rising Star Lil Benzy Shows Out With The Stars At Release Party In Philly
MLMP Release Party In Philly
The time has officially come; the project MLMP (More Love, More Problems) is officially out now. Lil Benzy is back in 2023 with some new music, and the best way to celebrate was with a release party. Held at Unframed in Philadelphia, Benzy had the place decked out for his guests and friends. From having a runway photo op right in front of the venue to having custom balloons in the venue at every table, Benzy dug deep into his pockets for this release, bringing out heavy hitters like Lilcase215, MC The Rockstar, and Jers. It was great to see everyone together, especially the Aktive Records crew. Benzy played some tracks from past projects, along with songs featuring Mir Fontane. We also got to hear every track off the new project MLMP, and he gave us some exclusive insight before every song. The people loved the outro the most, as the message behind the song touched them. Everyone can relate to it; we all want to be great, and we have the potential, so we can't let anything hold us back. This is a song you should definitely be excited to get to. Overall, the project is very solid, and people enjoyed the first exclusive listen as well as Lil Benzy's live performance.
The man of the hour, Lil Benzy, gave us a legendary performance. As seen by the MLMP shirts all together in the VIP area by the DJ Booth, he had his crew with him in the building. He started the night off by playing some of his already-released tracks for all the fans in the building. One song we enjoyed was the one he did with Mir Fontane on his previous project. They both mix very well together, and to see different sides of Jersey together is beautiful to see. He then got into playing the project for everyone to hear before they downloaded it. The intro of the project is the title "More Love More Problems" which was the first song previewed from the project and built up the anticipation of the project. As we got deeper into the project, more people fell in love with it. The song "Ima Flex" had everyone in the crowd jumping and celebrating. Before you knew it, we were at the end "Silence" which is the outro to the project. This song will have you in tears as it will inspire you to pursue your dreams. The crowd enjoyed this song the most. Overall, the project was loved by everyone who heard it, and people even downloaded it as they walked past the party. We suggest you give it a listen.
The project "More Love More Problems" is officially out and available on all platforms. Make sure to check it out today! What do you think of it?

Black Business Highlight - Cranky Granny’s Sweet Rolls
Cranky Granny's Sweet Rolls
It’s Black History Month, and we want to use this time to show you guys some black-owned businesses around your area! This business's highlighted name is "Cranky Granny’s Sweet Rolls." owned and operated by Sianni Dean, who began her business right here in New Jersey, right outside of her apartment, at age 18. We've seen the company grow from its humble beginnings in New Jersey all the way to Texas, where it quickly became a household name after her arrival. The company name was picked in honor of her grandmother, who is the definition of hard work. Sianni has been putting in her work for years. We have watched this company grow from pop-ups to a storefront. Seen at The Melanin Market in Willingboro, NJ. She would sell out in hours, her sweet rolls are undeniably good. She personally makes them along with help so every sweet roll has its own piece of Sianni love in it. The brand has grown quickly in a 5-year span reaching heights everyone back home is proud of. Cranky Granny’s is a business you should know about if you are into sweet rolls. She has a flavor for everyone to enjoy, even vegan!
Cranky Granny’s has gone from 3 flavors to over 10+ different flavors. She has just recently added vegan flavors, making her menu more versatile than ever. We also heard about her famous 24-karat sweet roll, sold exclusively in her first store. Her most popular flavors are, first off, her classic sweet roll, which is the OG of the sweet rolls. This is one of her fan favorites, and it started the expansion of other flavors. People would stand in line all day for a box of them. If you get to try one, you won’t be disappointed. Another all-star flavor is the cookies and cream; this is a heavy fan favorite. With the topping of Oreo cookies, this is a treat for all desert lovers. The perfect serving of Oreos and cream will have you ordering more than one at a time. It’s a must-try from her menu if you love cookie toppings. The last flavor we suggest you try is peach cobbler. We had only heard positive things about this one. People go crazy over that warm peach cobbler on that soft bun. It's the perfect amount of peach cobbler; it's not so filling that you can't enjoy the sweet cinnamon roll you came for. It’s a flavor we know will make you fall in love.
Cranky Granny’s isn’t just the top of the food chain with sweet rolls; they also serve different items on their menu and even have exclusive pop-up items. You can find smoothies, banana pudding, and more flavors of their sweet rolls all on their menu. You also find some small food treats, like buffalo chicken bites. You can definitely have a good desert date by taking a trip to Cranky Granny’s Sweet Rolls. Right now, they are doing pop-ups around Texas until their grand opening on March 25th in Pflugerville, Texas. They have been voted for the best cinnamon rolls every chance they get, so the question is: When will you try out some of these delicious treats? If you're in the Texas area, make sure to contact them to find out where you can get a Cranky Granny Sweet Roll. Make sure to leave a review so we can see how you felt, and it's nothing to show your appreciation if you enjoyed it!

It Was A Moshpit Fest At Neon Jungle
Moshpit Fest at Neon Jungle
It was the first metal show at Neon Jungle and it was a night indeed. We had three spectacular bands and a solo performance come through. It was great to see everyone all together. The live entertainment was Raven, The Martyr, Empty Vessel, and our headliner of the night, Snake Charmer. It’s also dope to see new merchandise come into Neon Jungle. The Martyr came in with hoodies and shirts along with some wristbands, while the Snake Charmer had dope unique shirts, dope drawings, and even more. It’s great to see the creativity both bands put into their merchandise. It also was the night of the stars, as people from all over came out to support the show. Jeb, a social media influencer, also made a special guest appearance to show support for the bands. You never know who will be at these shows, so make sure you're at the next one.
To start the night, we got to hear the talents of Raven. He started the night solo and attracted the crowd. Being a soloist on a band night can be much pressure, which Raven took on and accomplished the goal. The people were giving Raven his flowers as he got off, letting him know they enjoyed his performance. It was dope to see a solo performance; we haven’t seen that since joining Neon Jungle. The next band of the night stuck out to us a lot; The Martyr had an amazing sound. This band had experience; you could hear how much practice they'd put in. "They played metal music, but their hearts were light." - Wes. Their songs sound amazing, and they really rock the crowd. They were all very connected, and we loved to see what they brought to the night. They also performed some songs that they have released on all streaming platforms, to which the crowd responded; you could see them pulling out their phones. Overall, it was a great kickoff to the show, and we were excited to see what was next.
We had some first timers in Philly and Neon Jungle who was Empty Vessel. They came all the way from Newark, NJ. They brought and maintained the energy of the night! Coming from North Jersey, it was cool to see what they brought to the Philly scene. This is when the Moshpit fest began; their energy bounced all around the room, getting people ready to start raging. The Philly crowd took everything in and gave it right back. They were loving the set, making Moshpit after Moshpit it was a rockstar dreamland. Their music sounded great, and their performance sparked a lot of good energy in the room. It was good to see them live, and for their first time, they made it very memorable. We are excited to see if they are coming back.
The headliner of the night was Snake Charmer, we loved the merchandise they had on display. The colors were vibrant, and the unique photos were captivating as soon as you walked up to their table. Their performance was very energetic, they had the Moshpit fest continued for sure. People were jumping off of each other, and it was a WWE Royal Rumble at some moments. But in the love of the culture, nobody left out too harmed of the night; everyone really got to enjoy themselves during the Snake Charmers set. It was an amazing way to end the night, bringing people together for the cause of the greater good. For the first metal show at Neon Jungle, bands left with new fans, fans got to be with their favorite new artists, and Neon Jungle keeps growing as the Rockstar Dreamland.

When An Opportunity Comes, Run With It
The Season of Opportunities
The music industry is a great place for creatives, artists, and people who envision changing the world. Some people come into the music industry with nothing and leave with millions. Others come in and leave with nothing. The good thing about the music industry is once you build up your name. Opportunities will knock on your door; you must run with them. You never know where it will lead you. We learn daily that things do not happen twice, so if you're in your moment or just starting, embrace that, and when an opportunity comes your way, seize it. Make sure to run with it, so you can learn from experience and create your bigger picture. If you don’t have failures or things to learn from, how will you ever grow? Go after what’s right in front of you. It can possibly take you to heights of which you have never dreamed. We know the entrepreneurial route is a long one anyway, so why not see what opportunities it will bring to your life.
What’s the best way to make sure I’m not missing my future opportunities? Start saying yes to things. If someone invites you out, go check them out. If you get a chance to do that thing you've been silently working on in private in public, do it. You never know who could be watching, we have seen in life how people's lives have been changed by one moment. That’s all you need, and that’s all you need in a job, that one moment to start making everyone look at you so you can get that promotion. As an artist, you're waiting for the moment the world hears that hit single you have. The list goes on for every profession where one moment makes the turn in their career. These moments come from opportunities, so start to see the ones ahead of you and see where they take you. Even if it’s an opportunity to help a friend move some furniture, it may seem small, but take the opportunity. You can learn a lot from people; their experiences can help you alone.
What do you feel like you're holding back on? Once you identify it, just work on making changes to it. Opportunities come to us all; some are small, and some are big. They will all make us more of who we want to be. You get closer to your dreams when you're happy, so take a chance at happiness and seize the opportunity. Once you take it, be blind to expectations and go into it wanting to learn and get better. Every opportunity brings a chance at that, giving you a shot at bringing you closer to your goals, making you a better person, and giving you an opportunity for something different. We are creatives, so creating content is an everyday thing for us. Start seeing the opportunities ahead so you can be who you want to be. We are the vessel for the work we produce, so we can go as high as we want to go. It will take going together and taking advantage of your opportunities.
