Members Only (King Lurk Tribute Show)

King Lurk Tribute Show
at Members Only

Written by Cutty

Members Only is always a special time but this show, in particular, meant something to the Members Only community. Recently King Lurk, a recording artist out of Philadelphia, lost his life to gun violence. He was always present at the Members Only events either performing or encouraging other artists while they were performing. Missy Porter, the event coordinator, made sure to have an event in his name so people can know who he was. Cutty TV's own Lee Lee was in the building to get some exclusive content from the event.

King Lurk's girlfriend and cousin (Dreadhead Flaco) were present along with other family members to share this special moment. They both had on custom-made shirts for the event, in honor of King Lurk. It was a lot of people that came out and supported him as they watched his previous performances, listened to his music, and multiple people spoke at the event to give King Lurk the flowers he deserves. Most of the night was spent reminiscing on how great of a person he was, how his music impacted many people, and how it will live on and continue to change the lives of the generation coming up.

They also had some performances, artists like King Shinobe, 4th Quarter Rico, Da Renegades, and also B.Noir who all gave their heart out on this special night. The vendor of the night was Goldie and the Goodies who had the deserts and brownies for everyone to enjoy. They used their time to spread love in the name of King Lurk and they accomplished that mission. May he forever live on now and forever King Lurk.

The Phoenix Cannabis Awards Music Festival Recap

The Phoenix Cannabis Awards Recap

Written by Cutty

The Phoenix Cannabis Awards Music Festival was this past Friday and it was another good time indeed. This was the first time, Cutty TV or Jersey Watch has covered the one in Arizona so we made sure to get plenty of details for you. The event was held at Legends Event Center with over 5,000 people in attendance overall. They were everything for everyone if you were in the cannabis community. They were giving out awards, they had cannabis vendors, cannabis media influencers, cannabis models, and of course the superstars of the night Mike Jones & Lil Xan.

The AZ Print Lab was the developer behind the main Phoenix Cannabis Awards Shirt, we spoke with Ashley Morales who is the owner and graphic designer for AZ print lab and she let us know, that “the company's main concern is to print out quality shirts with vibrant colors.” They specialize in quality and we felt it as we were able to pick up one of their limited edition shirts. They sold limited edition shirts that were cultivated around the cannabis awards.

We also saw some return vendors who came back to the Cannabis Awards brand like Ganja Berry & Royal Blunts making their back-to-back appearances they gave out hemp wraps and ganja berry wraps for everyone in attendance. Another brand that made a comeback was Live To Blaze, a clothing company. We spoke with JT of Live To Blaze and he said “I do every cannabis award I can, it’s a great time every time.”

We also had the pleasure to connect with a first-timer to the cannabis awards “Cannabis Cactus Magazine” We spoke with one of the contributors and the magazine is based out of Phoenix AZ, but serves nationwide as their app allows them to distribute cannabis education to people all over the country. The magazine is based around cannabis influencers who teach about cannabis, local cannabis brands and companies, and also reviews other cannabis products.

It's always a great time to see brands like Rove & Dime Industries. Both brands making a return back to the cannabis awards, Dime Industries was in the building, showing the people their newest flavor that is coming out very soon. They were allowing people to try it and give their feedback. Rove, was also there with their vape line showing people what is to come summer of 2022. If you have been to the cannabis awards, you know that it is known for giving away things. So this year was no different, Tattoo’s & Smoke sponsored multiple giveaways like bongs, papers, care packages, and more. Frost Fire Farms sponsored the VIP rooms with flower as they are a company out of Tucson, AZ. They also showed an exclusive strain called “Triple Chocolate Chip”.

The place had so many vendors, we didn’t get a chance to get in contact with everyone. There were so many other people there we didn’t get a chance to talk to. We do want to talk about the performances of the night, It was more than 10+ performers for the night and we were able to catch most of them. Music artist Marc Ventura who won “Musician of the year” performed at the award show shortly after winning his trophy. His performance was a crowd favorite as people can see why he won musician of the year.

To start off the night of the stars, Legend Kurupt from Death Row Records performed. Being one of the headliners of the night, he had the place going crazy as he performed some of his old classics that the people knew word for word. When he touched the stage, the people gave him attention. You can tell it was something he enjoyed, as he gave the people a legendary performance.

Another big name to hit the stage was Mike Jones. This was not the first Cannabis Awards Mike Jones has performed at. He performed at the Orange County Cannabis Awards and the people loved the performance he gave, this time was nothing less than that. Starting his set with songs people knew like “Back Then” & “Next To You” he had people wondering where has Mike Jones been? He answered their question as he previewed new music that is on the way called “Down Down” asking the crowd for their feedback on it. He let everyone know, that he is working on a new single and will be dropping more coming in 2022.

To end out the night of stars we were able to see Lil Xan, this was his first time at the Cannabis Awards. Backstage, he was gifted a care package by Dime Industries and Rove. He made sure to show love to all of the sponsors of the show and we awaited his performance. Lil Zan opened his set with his song that just went Gold as he let the crowd know it changed his life. Doing songs like “Betrayed” and more he gave the crowd a legendary performance and before he got off stage he made a big announcement. He told the crowd not only has he been sober for 50 days but he is dropping Lil Xan and only going by Diego. A new chapter in his career and he told the crowd “ This will be a new me, new music, a new team around me. I am happy again.”

The Phoenix Cannabis Awards was a legendary night. So many performers, so many winners of awards, and lastly a beautiful cannabis community united together. There is so much that you will have to wait and see. It was a night like no other and more exclusive content will be coming on Cutty TV YouTube

Tequila Thursday's Recap

Tequila Thursday's Recap

Tequila Thursday’s returned back to Club Siccs Thursday Night and it was another great night for sure. The DJ Lil Sicc had the tunes rocking all night keeping people on their feet and the host Cutty kept the crowd very engaged. If you weren’t standing on your feet participating, you were in the back getting a tattoo by XTC Creations who was giving out tattoo deals for the event. The food of the night was provided by Jerky’s Caribbean Cuisine which had the Caribbean food platters going all night. It was so many stars in the building from City Boi Streets to SKDavidBaby and the local talent pulled up heavy ready to take over the stage.

To start the event off, music artist Vlaad from Maryland performed and you can say he set the tone for every other artist who hit the stage after him. His feature Tro Mac also complimented him making a guest feature on his set of the night. Their music was a head knocker for sure, it set things off for everyone else. One group that came in TNB set the stage on fire. TNB Bam & Yhung Buddah performed and everyone loved their performance. They actually liked it so much, that they performed three times. They came in with high energy and the people loved their music.

The ladies also came in and showed out. Teytertot performed her single, and the people showed her a lot of love. She started out in Tequila Thursday’s with it being the first place she performed ever so she is well known in the community. Alaina came through also and was ready to show out. She performed and everyone loved the song she did, she also had a guest feature on her set Thug Muffin from Texas who came and did a surprise performance for us.

Overall the night was amazing and the people loved every minute. We had a surprise performance from SKDavidBaby who performed his hit song “Matrix” which is a favorite at Tequila Thursday’s. Logic Rozay ended us outright being the last performer and leaving the people with a show as he has sung for the ladies and rapped for everyone else. Something Dope For The People - Open Mic Night Recap

Something Dope

 First Ever Open Mic

We were able to go check out Something Dope for the People first-ever Open Mic at Los Globos in Los Angeles, CA. When you first walked in you felt the vibe of the room, They had three vendors set up as soon as you walked in that had some amazing custom pieces and candles. The DJ of the night did a great job playing some songs to keep you moving on the dance floor and kept the crowd engaged. The night was also cultured around the co-founder Jordan Saint-Pierre who was celebrating his birthday with everyone in the building. It was also a packed night for a Wednesday, you felt like you were in for a show.

All of the performers of the night were different in many ways. They had some rappers, they had female performers, and they even had The BeatBox Panda come up on stage and do a beatbox session for the crowd. His beatbox skills made the whole room shake as he did different sounds. It was an unreal experience to see in person, one thing that stuck out to us was the freestyle session they had on stage. They let the crowd pick out words and they had to freestyle to each word, Aceblizzy who went first set the tone of it all, and dropped some great bars.

The performers were ready to take over the stage and put on a show for sure though. One artist Rokeaux, who came all the way from the US Virgin Islands performed and put on a show for everyone in the states as he proudly let the people know where he was from. Another artist by the name of KG Picasso from Brooklyn, NYC started his set with a freestyle to give the crowd a taste of what he was going to perform. He performed the song "Guns N Roses".

While the guys came out blazing, we had a couple ladies who shut the stage down. Lulu Be who is from Chicago came and slowed things down and had the people feeling it. Her vibe was very rasta, island style. She definitely touched the ladies in the room. Another female artist who kilt it last night was Scarlet Parke, her voice was soothing. You can tell she is very polished in the music industry, her energy and confidence were unmatched. Very excited to see more out of her. Overall everyone who hit the stage did their thing and left a memory with everyone in the room. If you want to know about the next one make sure to follow Something Dope for the People on instagram

Kensington Derby & Arts Festival - Mudpit Mixtape Recap

First-Ever Mudpit Mixtape Live Showcase

Philadelphia opens its doors again to the indie community in a strong way. This year at the Kensington Derby & Arts Festival they did something very different that has never been done. It was a platform created with the help of Phant Productions and Philadelphia music mogul Sam Malone "Mudpit Mixtape" which was a live showcase at the derby. Cutty TV's own Lee Lee was in attendance to give us the behind-the-scenes. The derby had over 10,000 people in attendance even with it raining. This was a major opportunity for an indie artist to not only get seen but heard also by new people who may have never heard their music. The derby itself had some great vendors in the building which brought in a different crowd. They had locally owned beer companies and homemade soaps and so much more. They were even selling goatmilk if you had a taste for it. It was something anyone could enjoy for sure.

The one thing about Philly is they love talent, and when they get an opportunity to let it thrive they will. The host of the Mudpit Mixtape was Sam Malone of Sippin Wit Sammie with DJ Nate by his side holding down the ones and twos. There was so much talent in the Mudpit Mixtape series itself artist-wise, the lineup was very impressive that the crowd gave a very good response after the whole thing was over. County Kravitz was in the building performing his single "Stay Solid", and the crowd gave a strong reaction to it while he was performing. Artist Ma_Jay also performed and was a crowd-pleaser. The people loved her strong female presence on stage. We even got to see a special appearance from Ace Da Khemist. There was so much talent we couldn't mention them all.

The Mudpit Mixtape series was a success for Philly, for the artist that performed and we think it will bring a new outlook on the festivals in Philadelphia and put more indie talent on the stages. It's one good step towards a brighter future for everyone who is an indie artist in Philadelphia. Stay updated to learn more.

Dropping Game Recap - Creating Generational Changes For The Youth

Dropping Game Recap (Camden,NJ)

Written by - Amirah Kane-Waheed

When it comes to telling the story of Camden’s youth, outsiders fail at spotlighting the rising stars who are striving to change the narrative. ICreate Productions hosted a mock grant proposal at the Dropping Game Experience, where Mayor Victor "Vic" Carstarphen and Troy Oglesby evaluated a panel of Creative Arts High School students.

The superstar students answered thought-provoking questions that challenged them to provide educated responses, charisma, and character to the stage. With his D.P.P.E. plan, Prodigy Games owner David Barnes gave some tips on being a successful business owner.

In addition to thinking about their dreams and planning to achieve them, he encouraged students to protect their plans against possible roadblocks and execute their vision confidently and authentically. The chief of the Camden Fire Department, Michael Harper, also spoke with students about the importance of voting and being a leader in their community.

The panel of students answered various questions regarding social issues, success, and their perspectives on the impact of money during the mock proposal. The judges considered clearness and pronunciation, delivery, thoughtfulness, clarity, and the quality of the answers when grading the students.

Each student had the opportunity to compete for a chance at winning a $1,000,000 grant to help their start-up business succeed. Each student was judged on a scale from one to five in each category.

The winner of the competition was Semaj, a sophomore at Creative Arts. His delivery was strong, and he made some excellent and valid points about how he defines success. In his victory speech, he said, "It wasn't about me winning; it was about me breaking out of my shell." His reward wasn't a $1,000,000 grant, but he did receive a $50 Visa gift card from ICreate Productions LLC.

We would like to send a special shoutout to Justin DeGuzman, Muntasir Smith, Kenny Savage, David Barnes, and Leo Vega for hosting such a fantastic night of networking and inspiration.

Overall, the event allowed the students to shine and be recognized for something positive. The producer RoBB performed an exclusively unreleased song of his called Momma House. Camden artist Fre$ko also attended the event.

ICreate Productions gave these rising stars the knowledge and confidence they needed to go further in life.

Belong Fiesta Recap (05/07/22)

It was a Cinco De Mayo celebration at Wave Studio this past Saturday with Belong Fiesta. It was a festival thrown in DTLA by Curfew Rage & others a festival full of artists ready to tear the stage down. It was a consistent night of talent throughout it all. The artist who hit the stage were all talented in their own way. The DJ of the night Phitted had the vibes right for everyone to enjoy. Lastly, they had vendors outside and the event was overall successful, here are some key moments from the event. The photos were all taken by somewhereinla_

The night itself was a night of pure fun, everyone was enjoying themselves and the artists of the night were very different. Starting the event one performer whose name we didn't catch set the tone early, he and his hypeman set the tone for the rest of the performers setting the energy high and letting the crowd know this was going to be a good show. Another highlight performer was Uggly he had the whole place raging on his set and the people were really into it. His music got people on their feet and moving around, it fit the mood for sure. Someone else who really had a good set was Raul, he had a handful of features that gave off a different vibe for every song he performed. He gave the crowd a set to remember.

We waited to see who Frank Benji was going to bring onto his set and he did not disappoint. Bringing out special features like Micah street and more. His set was one of the best sets of the night alongside Young Dragon who also performed.  Young Dragon had the energy high when he stepped onto the stage having everyone in the room on their feet. For every artist we were able to see, they all brought their A-game and didn't fail at the objective which was put on a show. For more events like this in LA, Stay updated with us.

This past Monday, It was nothing less than good talent who hit the stage again. A Member’s Only native King Shinobe was in the building and put on a show as usual. King Shinobe has been grinding it out for the past couple months and really making his name known in the Philadelphia music community. Wet Dreams Yacht Party Hosted by We Are Jersey Magazine Recap

Wet Dreams Yacht Party Hosted by

 We Are Jersey Magazine Recap

Written by Amirah Kane-Waheed

On Saturday, Jersey Watch Blog writer Amirah covered the annual Wet Dreams Yacht Party hosted by We Are Jersey Magazine. Guests were treated to a red carpet event along the Hudson. It was a celebration of the brand's success and the birthday of its owner, Queen Bee. DJ Tee Tropez kept the energy high and assured that WAJ had the littest boat cruising throughout the night. North Jersey's dopest socialites were in attendance at the event, as well as vendors and indie artists. There were special guest performances by Troy Reign & Geereg, Ki Bohiti, LBezzle, and RememberSB. Queen Bee delivered a night filled with dope vibes, great entertainment, and the epitome of hard work paying off.

A number of music artists performed at this event. Troy Reign and Geereg opened the show. Troy flexed his freestyle skills during the first half of their set. One of the most unique aspects of this was that he freestyled to a fire NY drill beat. As a rare sight, it was perfectly suited to the setting and unbelievable because of its rarity. Clearly, this artist pushes the mold of his abilities and goes the extra mile to prove he cannot be marginalized. Geereg's introduction was the icing on the cake for their set. His completely energy was on ten while his musical flow has an unmatched appeal. While each artist is uniquely talented on their own, together they form an incredible duo.

LBezzle and RememberSB wowed us with an amazing set showcasing some of their most popular songs. One of the songs that stuck in the heads of the crowd after the show was EastSide. That territorial anthem got the crowd going. Afrobeat snuck in with Finna Get Naughty by RememberSB, who turned up the party and showed off his skills. We especially enjoyed Ki Bohiti. This deep cut performance had an authentic backpack vibe. The red carpet event turned into an underground stairwell on Staten Island. His oldskool style was appreciated by hip-hop's truest b-boys and b-girls who were in the building.

Overall, the event brought artists and industry personnel together to celebrate success as a family. Everyone was a star in their own right and Queen Bee kept the vibes pure and positive throughout the night! We spoke with Queen Bee about the night of excellence.

AMIRAH: Hey Bee! Your hard work and success at WAJ was definitely the highlight of the night. The performers were great and kept the vibes right. This will certainly be a night to remember for your guests. How do you feel about the turnout of your party?

BEE: I’m still processing the evening. It was mad fun and all of the artists killed it. It was lit that everyone had a good time and was able to network well with one another. This night was all about having fun, so I was glad everyone was able to come together.

AK: You certainly set the bar high for others aspiring to be in your lane! I think next year you’re going to need a bigger boat because you definitely have the whole state of Jersey on lock! Congratulations on such a successful night and happy birthday again.
