Some careers start with a camera. Some start with a studio. For Michael Mims, it started in the gym. Mims is a personal trainer based in Los Angeles who turned his passion for transformation into a new lane: content creation and event production. We caught up with him at Abyss Market LA, where he produced the same event we attended, and he shared how one career opened the door for another. Training his clients led to filming workouts, filming workouts led to storytelling, and storytelling led to curating spaces for creators to connect in real life.
