    Kur is giving us exactly
what we’ve been waiting for.

The Philadelphia rapper is officially back in his bag with a double album release, “ARD NOW” and “ARD YO.” Since being released from his previous deal, Kur has been consistently feeding his fans and making it clear that he is entering a new chapter of his career. Records like “Grab Your Popcorn” were the perfect introduction to this new era, letting listeners know early that Kur was coming back differently this time.

For years, Kur has been one of the strongest rappers coming out of Philadelphia. When it comes to pure rapping ability, storytelling, and being able to turn real-life situations into music, he has always stood out. Listening to these two projects feels like Kur tapped back into some of the energy that made people fall in love with his music around 2015, but now his storytelling sounds more developed, mature, and advanced.

Kur’s biggest advantage as an artist has always been his ability to paint a picture with his words.

You don’t just hear what he is talking about, you can almost see the situation happening while he is rapping about it. Across “ARD NOW” and “ARD YO,” listeners get to hear Kur speak about different chapters of his life, including situations surrounding his previous deal, new love, becoming a father, personal growth, and what he believes is ahead for him in the future.

That personal side of the music is one of the biggest reasons these projects work so well.

Kur uses the albums to address certain rumors, give fans more insight into what has been happening behind the scenes, and experiment with new sounds without losing the style that originally made people fans of his music.

Coming from Philadelphia, that honesty is important.

Philly artists have always had a way of telling you exactly what it is. There is usually no sugarcoating, no pretending, and no trying to make the story sound prettier than it actually was.

That same energy is all over these projects.

You really get a chance to feel closer to Kur as both an artist and a person. Instead of only giving listeners bars, he gives them context. You hear about where he has been, where he is mentally today, and where he plans on going next. It feels good seeing Kur fully back on the scene and giving fans the type of music they have always loved him for.

For Jersey Watch, “ARD NOW” and “ARD YO” are another 10/10 set of projects.

The best part about having two full projects is that there is something for almost every type of Kur fan. Whether you like the pain records, storytelling, relationship songs, motivational records, street music, or the tracks where Kur is simply reminding everyone how well he can rap, there is plenty to choose from.

You can easily find your next favorite Kur song somewhere between these two albums.

Now we want to hear from you.

Which project are you rocking with more, “ARD NOW” or “ARD YO”? And what song has been your favorite so far? Let us know on social media.
