South Los Angeles showed out on December 31st as Keys 2 Tha Streetz hosted The Gift That Keeps on Giving in the historic Slauson Avenue area. From the moment the event kicked off, it was clear this wasn’t just another pop-up; it was a full community experience rooted in culture, creativity, and opportunity.

We were excited to see everything unfold, and even though we arrived later in the evening, we were able to catch footage from earlier in the day that showed just how active and packed the event was from start to finish. Artists touched the stage, vendors lined the space with heat, and media outlets were everywhere capturing behind-the-scenes moments that really brought the event to life.

When we pulled up, energy was already high. Right before our arrival, Sneak Duce had just been crowned the winner of the first $1,000 pot for Best Artist of the Night, a huge moment that set the tone for everything that followed.

Shortly after, the infamous smoke-off began, and man, it was a real one. With more than nine contestants stepping in at the start, the competition was intense. Minute by minute, you could see participants slowly drop like flies as the pressure mounted. By the end of the night, it all came down to the final two in a head-to-head battle.

When the smoke cleared, DJ El Eclipsio took home the win, earning an exclusive smoke package and solidifying his name as the last one standing.

The wins didn’t stop there. The title of Best Vendor of the Night went to Doesha, who came through with the sweets and left no doubt why she deserved it. She walked away with $1,000, rounding out a night where everyone who put in work truly got rewarded.
