WalkGood LA Brings Healing to South LA with BreatheGood: A Community Reset
This month, Jersey Watch pulled up to BreatheGood, the First Sunday wellness experience hosted by WalkGood LA at Kenneth Hahn Park. The event brought out the community for a morning of yoga, meditation, and healing energy led by the team behind WalkGood, a space built on love, movement, and togetherness.
We sat down with Etienne Maurice, the founder of WalkGood LA, to talk about how this movement continues to evolve and inspire South LA. Etienne opened up about the story behind WalkGood, its roots in community activism, and how BreatheGood has grown into a safe space for people to heal through collective wellness. He also gave us a glimpse into what’s next for 2026, from new events to expanding the mission even further into schools and neighborhoods across Los Angeles.
We also caught up with Marley Rae, co-founder of WalkGood LA and yoga instructor, who led the day’s meditation session. Marley shared her personal intentions for BreatheGood, the importance of creating mindful moments for South LA, and how WalkGood continues to bridge culture, healing, and art. Her words reminded everyone that yoga is more than a stretch; it’s a movement for peace and alignment in a city that’s constantly on the go.
Two powerful sit-downs from one beautiful morning in South LA, filled with breath, balance, and community.
