This Saturday the Thurl Breds had a Gameday like no other! It marked the first-ever wagers match in the community, and by the end of the day crowns were handed out, subs were won, and money was on the line. The energy was high from start to finish, with every matchup bringing out the best (and most competitive) side of our members. From the hype in the Discord to the intense showdowns in-game, the Thurl Breds proved that this was more than just gaming it was an experience. More than just the prizes, it was about the memories we created together, and this Saturday showed once again why this family is built different.
After Battlefield, it was time for the wagers matches, and the stakes were heavy. The format was 3 pick randoms, winner-takes-all rounds, and the pressure was real. The highlight of the day came from cantstopthatx, who rode his way to the finals in dominant fashion, beating every opponent by 21 points. While some competitors came out strong, once it was time to face Cantstop, the games were simply not to be played with. He swept the competition, won the Madden tournament, and was officially crowned the Thurl Breds Madden Champion of August 2025.
It was an intense Saturday as the competition was high energy and the crowd stayed locked in all day! We started off on Battlefield 6, where Terrance Stone and yrnfrom501 held it down for that segment. After grinding through tough matchups, they closed out the last couple of games with a big win, leaving the Battlefield side of the day on a high note and feeling good for what was coming later.

Next came the match everyone had been waiting on all day: Call of Duty. With over 150+ members in the community, most of them COD players, this was easily the most hyped event of the day. While we missed seeing a few key players hit the sticks, we were able to see Justsoxtra, though; she carried a lot. the battles that went down still had us on the edge of our seats. The event kicked off with a 15-lives format, where the first or closest to 50 points before the timer ran out would win. Quis came out swinging, taking victory after victory. Ryce made his entrance late but shook things up immediately, snagging two quick Ws to tie things up with Quis.
Then came the big matchup: a team showdown with Quis as captain versus Ryce as captain, played out on Nuketown. Both squads went hard, but in the end Quis’s team walked away victorious, setting up a fiery finish. That brought us to the Top 4: Quis Gray, Ryce, Terrance Stone, and Nutt. They clashed in a free-for-all to determine the finalists, and sure enough, it came down to Quis and Ryce. The finale was a long, hard-fought battle, but in the end Quis stood tall as the winner, earning the crown of Thurl Breds COD Champion, August 2025.
